Well today I reached what was my mileage goal for the year (5000) and it really feels good. Last year at this time I was 207 lbs and today I am at my goal weight of 175. While that is great, I think ten more pounds is where i really need to be to be competitive on the racing scene. Although I have finished in the top ten in every race thus far this year.

Congratulations on the weight loss and your top ten results!! Do you attribute the weight loss to all the miles or did you also make diet changes? Any tips you have would be appreciated. Thanks |

Thank you for the kind comments everyone. Ya know, diet wise, I certainly watched what I ate until I got to about 180, since then I have eaten whatever I please. Lot's of protein after workouts, and plenty of carbs prior. My downfall in life is wine. I do wine tours for a living, great wine is hard to turn down. Moderation in everything is the key,(as long as you are training hard and consistant). |
