If you are doing strength training, you will initially gain weight...because you are gaining muscle and it weighs more. Eventually your body will start to lose the weight, as well as the inches. I know it is frustrating...I have gone through the same feelings of disappointment at stepping on the scale and seeing a weight gain.
Keep in mind that having more muscle helps you burn calories faster and will help with the weight loss in the long run. It might take a few weeks for you to start to see the drop in weight.
