Tammie m'girl! I'm the same way. I've always been irregular on the cycle timing end but now I've added to it with the spotting, etc. I've been to the doc, had bloodwork and hormone tests and everything is normal, as per usual in my life. I believe the word for it is PERImenopausal! There's a book called the Wisdom of Menopause that I found helpful (written by a female doc, can't think of her name). I've also talked to female family members and have found that they're going through or went through similar times. A wonderful, supportive husband, such as yours, helps too! As always, the better nutrition and keep moving ideals help (so do mini-pads). I use to use the pill to regulate my cycle but haven't for over 8 years. It's not worth it to me (although sometimes I do think about it again). Don't know that I've offered anything but understanding of your situation but I can offer at least that! Big hug!! |

I went through menopause before I was 40, but since I didn't reallly have any symptoms, my physician doesn't feel I need to do anything. That's different than being irregular though. There are a couple of good web sites with some information here:
https://www.marilynglenville.com/general/irregular.htm
https://www.webmd.com/content/article/42/1689_50290.htm so note that even though you know you are not ovulating, that could be linked to diet, exercise, stress etc. They are not mutually exclusive

Good luck, even if not causing serious problems, I know it is a pain in the neck. There is recent research that the newer types of progesteron or mini-pills do not lead to weight gain. See here https://www.webmd.com/content/article/117/112741.htm |

I concur! An answer would be a good thing, Ms. Tammie! |
