We are back in driving mode after a week visiting family. We have one quick stop in Wilmington NC before we start headed back west. We have been travelling so much that its getting to be hard to figure out exactly where we are or what day it is all the time!

Thus far the trip has been incredible. Our only casualty has been the inverter, which blew up just east of Michigan. There have been a few minor hardware problems at the data center, all of which have been successfully repaired, reconfigured or restarted remotely from the comfort of the FJ mobile!

Its become apparent that a month on the road is just not enough. There are so many people who have requested that FJ make a trip to their neck of the woods, it looks like we are going to need to schedule another trip. I think we could stay out for the rest of the year and still not meet everyone who has asked for us to stop by!

We have lots of stops planned for the way back and will do our best to take lots of pictures. We will be taking routes 20 and 40 on the way home with planned stops including graceland, carlsbad caverns, the grand canyon, las vegas, and maybe a few other places along the way.

I hope Indy is wearing his seatbelt! Glad to hear the trip is going well, but no inverter?!?! Oh no! How will we make margaritas?

Wave as you come through Amarillo, Texas! You can stop in at The Big Texas for the free (if eaten in one hour) 72 ounce steak. Then there is Palo Duro Canyon, the play "Texas" at the canyon, The American Quarter Horse Museum, and the Cadillac Ranch. Here is a link info about Amarillo: https://www.amarillo-cvb.org/

We finally made it to Wilmington and managed to get out to wrightsville beach just as the sun was going down. The water is SO WARM compared to our Nor Cal frigid ocean. I was able to capture this shot looking back on the inlet.

There were quite a few people in the water even as the sun was setting. Lots of people on surf boards and skim boards.
