A good rain jacket/coat with a hood over whatever else you were going to wear for the weather is what I've found helpful! |

I've found that a fleece lined goretex cap with a visor is a big help and also go with the maximally wicking goretex shell. Something windproof also seems to make a big difference. I've found even if I'm somewhat wet a windstopper fleece jacket keeps me pretty warm and doesn't trap the heat. |

sock-wise, you can go fleece if you are not prone to blisters or smartwool, which makes a better running sock https://www.smartwool.com/default.cfm
There are also some general suggestions here https://www.competitiverunner.com/
My favorite hat is the Patagonia Synchilla Duckbill, totally goofy looking, but very warm. |
