This function is not implemented correctly. First of all, there is no point to asking for dates on each split since in only the most unusual circumstances would you have a single run span multiple days. Secondly, the split time is useless without the split distance and you neglected to include a distance field. Please correct this as soon as possible. Thank You.

Hi Ron:

I really appreciate your feedback on the splits utility. I am going to be implementing the split distance field as you suggested. As its currently designed, its better suited for tracking benchmark workouts than splits within the same workout, or splits of an identical distance such as a track workout. I'll keep you posted on my progress for this and will work to create a more useful.

Is there any update on the splits functionality? I agree with Ron. (I was leary about posting this because it is difficult to tell when this thread was started. A post date that is permanent would be nice on each post.)

It would be nice to have the splits tied directly to the event that splits are tied to. I also agree that entering a date doesn't make sense for split entries.

The graph doesn't make sense to me either. Having the split date as the "X" axis doesn't show any relationship to it's "Y" axis counterpart. Graphs of this nature should establish a finer grained relationship. I guess what I mean by this is that the "X" axis should represent the split itself (i.e. the position in the list of splits; 1, 2, 3, 4, ...) rather that the date. That is a much more informational comparison to the "Y" axis than the entry date of the split (not that it is the true entry date of the split, but in most circumstances it probably is).

Anyway, I really appreciate this site. It is very polished and professional. I do have further recomendations on some functions for more serious athletes like myself (I really like to slice and dice data). If you would like them I would be willing to submit them. However, I don't want to add unnecessary expectations to you if you are the sole developer on the site. Believe me, I know what that feels like.

Have a great day!

Chris is the guy, but he has added all kinds of functionality in the two years I've been using the site, so would guess this is doable if enough people are interested

I'm having issues with the split tracking...first I agree that the splits need to be directly linked to the workout...this would be extremely helpful to avoid having to run more than one report to export to excel and it would also eliminate trying to figure out which workout the splits belong to.

Also, today I tried to edit a split and in doing so it was lost, so I ended up deleting all of my splits and re-entering them and now they are in reverse order...
