This may actually happen from starting your run too quickly, or building up intensity faster than your body is ready for. You may find that slow and gradual speed progression may solve the onset of cramps. However, if you do get a cramp, you can relieve the pain quickly by holding your thumb or finger tight against the cramp for 30 seconds or so. I know it sounds silly but try it! You will never have to stop to walk through a cramp. |
