Charrissa, way to go on your fitness level and new goals! So many people do not have a clue about how to swim 300 and bike 6mi! Are you doing the Mini-Tri at Coldwater Lake? If so, I am very familiar with that one. I am doing my first Olympic distance this year in Chicago. Try to become as comfortable in the water as you can and when you race, try to do the swim as slow as possible. As your slowest ever even. Your blood will be pumpin and you will be going faster than you think. Then as you feel comfortable you can speed up your swim, then blast through on the bike.
Good Luck
