Everyone has their own favorite pair of shoes and brand that they follow. Do you find that you are willing to hop from brand to brand (no pun intended) or are you more likely to stick to a tried and true shoe? Lets hear about your favorite pair of shoes and why you like them. |

I have never heard of the newton shoes beyond what you mentioned. They look totally cool. I'd love to hear some feedback from anyone who happens to have a pair. It looks like they have some of the same qualities of the Nike Free, which I really like. They are pretty expensive though.. 155 bucks is a lot for a pair of shoes :-)

I usually have 4 or 5 pair going at one time My tried and true pair are New Balance 587. They are the best I have found for a big guy with wide flat feet who likes longish distances. I have some New Balance 620 for gym stuff and then a couple of different pairs, brands or styles that I will try out to see if I can use for a substitute in case they ever quit making the 587 like Greg had happened to him. I've had some Asics, Brooks and other NB. I'd like to try other brands when I can. |

Money is no object when you have it. But what happens when you don't? I'm taking donations!!
I love my pair of Saucony Trigon they run around $90-$100 so when these die i would like to try the Newton shoes but, I would love to hear for someone who has a pair. I'm doing the Napa Marathon in March and would like to be able to run in the Newton's for a good 3 months before the race.

Great information on the Newtons Kelly. Looks like they are certainly worthy of serious consideration, even at that price. |

Just got a pair of Newtons at Rock 'n' Roll Arizona expo. No discount, but I did get a free hat and socks. The guy there (who used to work for Nike) watched me run and said I was a natural forefoot runner. The shoes felt really comfy and like they had enough padding under the forefoot to make me happy. I probably won't run in them for a bit (too icy out, so I'm not running in anything right now), but will let you all know what I think after a while |

Don't you hate when the companies change the models. I ran in the Asics Gel Nimbus VI and VII, but haven't liked the VIII-X that have come out. Recently started running in the Nike Air Zoom Voomero's which I really like and then will try the Newtons. Am also looking at a trying the Nike Air Zoom Skylon as a lighter shoe for some runs. |

I am now a convert to newton shoes. After a few months of testing I can say that I'm more likely to wear my newtons out running than any other shoe I own. Takes some time to get used to - however I really like the feel over the long miles. Note: Not the cheapest shoe on the market. |

I find that it varies across years. In 2004/2005, I was running in Asics. Then did Mizunos for a couple years. 2008-2019 mostly Nike Voomero3. Have recently switched to Brooks Glycerin and just bought a pair of Asics Cumulus as alternative short run shoes. I go to a great local running store, tell them what I like then try on a bunch of pairs before picking one. |
