I've been in the process of switching from gatorade to accelerade. Overall I really like using the new Accelerade for cycling. I notice that I have more power and my legs last longer. However, I feel like I'm going to hurl the whole time I'm out there and even for quite a time after I'm done exercising. I was just curious if anyone else has had this reaction? It may just take some time for my body to get used to the formula.

Chris - That stuff is a bit nasty. They could use some work on flvoring or consistancy or something. I wonder if blending it with something else that is the same flavor would make it easier to stomach?? May be worth a try.

For what its worth... Since May I've been using and have been real happy with first Endurance's EFS during the ride and their post ride product Ultragen too! Our Fleet Feet and some bike shops carry it, but I get a better selection and service from their web site https://firstendurance.com/

Their electrolyte proportions seem to have helped me as they have Calcium; magnesium, potassium, etc..... Believe it or not, for about a year and a half I thought that I had plantar facitis, but in reality it was a deficiency in Mg.

I've been using accelerade for a little while now and haven't had the problems your talking about, but I'm not doing much distance training. The question I'd have for you is your hurling feeling from the taste or from your trying digest it. If it's a digestion thing I'd think it would been your body getting used to protein instead of sugar and try drinking it on your off days for a little while to acclimate to it. If it's the taste, you should stop being a wussy.

While were on the subject has any one tried the recovery drink endurox? I haven't and was thinking of trying it.

I've been riding with one bottle of accelerade and one bottle of water. Cutting back on the amount of accelerade I'm ingesting seems to do the trick. As far as the taste goes Dan...

I love the taste. I've started using Accelerate as a replacement for many common food items. As an example, I often sprinkle Accelerade on top of my pancakes in the morning instead of syrup, and use it as a sugar replacement in my coffee. I also like try to replace my salad dressings with Accelerade powder, as well as mix it in with my beer in the evening. Most recently I've actually been showering with the stuff as a replacement for normal shampoo and conditioner.. Talk about a bad hair day..... ;-)

Cheers!

Accelerade in your Beer?????????? How soon can you get over here to Sac for a 12 step program to get you cleaned up? I'll buy. Found some great beer in Montana. Get this, in Jackson there is a Brew Pub, Snake River Brewing (https://www.snakeriverbrewing.com/) with a bike shop, Fitzpatricks (https://www.fitzgeraldsbicycles.com/weblog/index.php) in the corner... bike shop... brew pub, heaven

Chris - You know they also make a gel. But, PLEASE, don't go into the different ways you use that... ;o)
