So after the various broken bones 5 weeks ago, I did my first "real" workout (something other than walking yesterday), 45 minutes on the elliptical. Felt great and feel great today, so getting back to a full schedule over this week. Still hoping to do the ABQ marathon August 31st. Anyone have a good 12 week training plan (short, I know, but I was in great shape when I got hurt).

And back to running! Did 4 miles on Tuesday and 2.5 miles yesterday, feeling pretty good. Supposed to be hot this weekend, but hoping to do a 6 miler on Sunday.

Seema,

Congratulations on getting back into an exercise routine. Jeff Galloway has some great marathon training schedules, one of which I followed to do my first marathon. The link above is for a training schedule for those who just want to complete a marathon. I guess you would start at week 21 which has a long run of 6 miles. For me, injuries were always a problem so this schedule goes easy on the body during the week with the focus on the long run on the weekend. I chose Saturday as my long run instead of Sunday since it fit into my schedule better. Hope this helps and good luck!

Deborah
