Bike Fitting?????? Before I go into how much I believe in the full blown testing....I think that you have to decide whether or not you are having problems, hurts, uncomfortablenesses, etc......
If you really don't have any real issues it might be better to go with the bike shop $100 test to confirm that you're doing OK and have another set of eyes looking at your position. There is a lot of value in a seasoned veteran in the LBS to see if your position is OK.
The $200 fittings that I have had were with Max Testa and Eric Heiden when they were here at UC Davis Sports Medicine. Those fittings included measurements of bike geometry and my body and then a "dyno" test that measured my left-right pedaling "pressure"; my pedal stroke throughout the 360 degrees; and power in different positions. Kind of like a multiple choice test...looking for the best answer. If you have any excuse to go to Park City Utah, I'd highly recommend that you go get tested by them.
With all that said.... the old guy at the bike shop set me up on my bike when I bought it for free, after 6 mos or so with some minor tweeks, Testa's testing confirmed the old guys settings.......
That really helps, huh....go with your gut, what feels best for what you get,
