About a week ago my right foot brought to my attention some pain under my toes or on the pad beneath the them. Not sure how else to describe it. The pain seems to come and go. Haven't been able to find anything online about what this might be. The pain rears its ugly head at the very beginning of a run but will go away and it's not painful enough to stop. (yet) Anyone have any ideas? If it persists I will go see a doc. But like most guys I hate going to the doc and would prefer not too if at all possible. Thanks.

Scott

Hi Scott,

Do you have flat feet? It could be plantar fasciitis, however i would avoid going to the doctor and go straight to a Sports Podiatrist or a Physiotherapist.

Make sure you are applying ice to the injuried area, or better still plunge your foot into a bucket of ice water for 10 minutes, several times a day, as whatever it is the ice will only help.

Have you changed anything with regards to your training, eg hills, distance, shoes?

Cheers

Nicole
