Does anyone have a suggestion for wearing swim goggles so that you don't wind up with "goggle face" and a headache? |

The only one that doesn't leave me with marks is the Aqua Sphere seal mask. My skin doesn't bounce back like it used to and all the small ones left me with goggle marks all day. Hardcore swimmers I think frown on them, but I find them very comfortable and I like the field of vision they have. There is a smaller version, Kamian, that I'll wear when competing. |

Try Swedish goggles. You can find them at any swim shop or online retailer. Malmsten is the most common brand. Basically swedes are those tiny little all plastic goggles without weird suction cups or foam that fit into your eye sockets. It takes a bit to get the straps adjusted (they don't need to be all that tight) and to get the nose piece tied on (these goggles don't come assembled) but once you have the nose piece set right and the straps right they'll be the best goggles you'll ever have. And they cost, like, 5 bucks. I've worn them throughout my competitive swimming career, and have tried many others but always come back to swedes because they work so much better than any other goggle. Oh, and wear your straps underneath your cap. |

Joan, you might want to loosen the straps on your current goggles just a little...might help and won't cost you a thing!! :) |
