I think I lost 3.5 pounds last week but it took being extra careful about snacking and working out 3 times a day. Don't know how long my 50 year old body can keep it up but I'll try. Have a 1/2 marathon to run coming up. Will run it with my nephew Sean. Finished a 9.8 walk / run and am beat. My back is a bit sore as well. My goals for this week are to loose another 3 + pounds and get in at least 4 days of extra work outs. I don't know why but it sure seems like I have to grind myself into the dirt in order to loose any weight.

Whew...lots of good stuff happening here! I'm taking a break from work at this moment and reading everyone's posts :) Like I said, good stuff.
My week was in the so-so range too; HOWEVER, it's been very good in terms of taking care of the plantar fasciitis (icing, wearing my night splint, stretching, no runing or walking). Unfortunately, I did the all or nothing thing...sort of...I didn't eat really well since I wasn't in the working out mode. Lessons learned, again :) Water up (good); ate my fresh fruits & vegies (good). And listened to my podiatrist.
For this week, week 2: drink 8-10 glasses water/day, eat at least 2 fresh fruits/vegies a day, do 5 cardio workouts...either biking or swimming, do weights and core as previously scheduled. |
