Count me in! My goals are :

1. Lose 18 lbs!

2. 60 oz. of water daily!

3. Log in to FJ every day.

4. Reduce Body Fat 2 to 3 %

5. Average 20 miles of walk/run a week.

6. Run a 5K in this period.

As you stated, this will be a challenging period. We must stay strong and committed to succeed. Any steps backwards must be compensated with more steps foward.

Good Luck to All!!!

I'm in for this 12 weeks too!!

My goal is to lose 20 lbs. I turn 51 on Sept. 1 so want to be close to that goal by then.

Other goals:

Drink more water.

Eat healthier and cut down on the sweets.

Exercise at least 5 days per week.

Do more weight training.

Check in more with the group each week.

Let this be the best 12 week challenge yet for everyone!!

I'm in too!

Goals:

Continue running 3-4x per week with one speed work session and one long run

Run a few 5, 8, and 10ks before the 10 mile Crim in late August

Add more strenuous biking workouts 1-2x a week

Add weight training (toughy here, I despise lifting weights) 2-3x a week

For those off days get in some water sports (waterskiing, kneeboarding, ect)

Limit my Bud Light consumption... (tougher than the weight training hahaha)

Hi All - I am just joining the 12-Week Challenge for the first time, so I want to be careful to not set my sights too high to start with.

I will shoot for losing 15#

Increasing my water intake

Working out at least 3 times per week (walking and/or weight training

Logging my food intake

I can already tell I'm in with a good group that believes in accountability. So - here we go!!

Happy Hump day everyone! Oh boy, have I ever slacked off this week. The last few days have been nice and cool, a little wet but otherwise great running weather and I haven't done a thing. Hopefully today I'll find the motivation to run a few miles and get back into the swing of running. Planning on heading north again for the weekend with more waterskiing, biking, swimming, hopefully a run around the lake. Last weekend, running didn't happen but the everything else I did do even if biking was more of a leisurely ride. Enjoy the rest of the week!

I've been secretly stalking this thread for months. (Not in a creepy ax murderer way) So, now I'm in.

My goals for the 12 week challenge.

1. Run/walk 4 days a week.

2. Lose 10-12 lbs. (Just during this challenge, I have more to lose long term)

3. Track all my food intake.

4. Drink water.

Hey Sherron, Do you mean DRINK as in water or the alcoholic kind--LOL? Are you doing this in the Atlanta heat? Bless you!

My first week of this challenge has been mediocre at best so far as life seemed to get in the way. I did get a good elliptical workout this evening and walked the dogs. I remember someone saying that if you do the elliptical flat footed, you get a better workout. Boy that's true!!

Anyway, I plan to pick up the pace this weekend and hopefully jumpstart the remainder of the challenge. Keep up the good work everyone, and don't get discouraged is you have a few bad days.

Tammie,

I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my Mom a little over a year ago suddenly and well before her time to go, I thought. I was so glad that I had a visit with her around Christmas just days before she passed away. There are no guarantees in life, that's for sure. Just hang in there and feel what you need to feel.
