    The following is a list of common questions and answers regarding integration with the Fitness Journal platform. If you have any additional questions or need any clarification on any of these points, please contact your Fitness Journal representative.

    How long does it take to establish my account and start registration?

    Typically, accounts are established in a demonstration mode. During this time we will setup your branding and give you an chance to try out Fitness Journal and make sure it is a good fit for your organization. We normally provide 1-2 weeks for your account to be in demo mode. An account can move from demo mode to live mode at any time by purchasing a seat package. If you are in a rush, Fitness Journal can be utilized in one business day.

    Do you offer deep brand integration and custom tool design?

    Yes. Fitness Journal is designed to be re-branded and we are happy to work with your team to create new web and mobile products and services utilizing the Fitness Journal engine and utilities. If you feel you have a qualified project that would benefit from Fitness Journal tools and services, please make contact and lets talk.

    When do unregistered/inactive seats expire?

    There is no expiration set for unregistered seats. As an example, if you were to purchase 500 seats today and only activate 300 seats through registration or renewals, you would still have 200 inactive seats that you could utilize at a later date.

    If we purchase more seats than we need, will we lose them?

    No. Our seat registration makes sure that your purchased seats do not go to waste, even a year or more after you make a purchase. In the event that you purchase more seats than you need, the extra seats will remain in your account balance until you choose to register new accounts or renew existing accounts.

    Can I purchase and use a mix of annual and half-year seats?

    Yes. You can purchase and store any combination of annual, half-year, and quarter-year seats. If you use the online system, you will need to make a separate purchase for each seat type. We can take a mixed seat order over the phone if you only want to make one purchase. During registration or renewal you can choose to utilize your annual, half-year, or quarter year seats if they are available.

    I have about 25 clients, how should I register each account?

    A registration form is available from your management toolbox that will allow you to quickly register your users. Upon registration, your user will be sent an email with login and password information. You can add, remove, or renew users easily, regardless of the number of users you will support.

    We have thousands of users, which registration method do you suggest?

    If you have more than a few users, we suggest establishing a special registration code that will work through our standard external registration system. A single email to your staff or clients containing the registration code will provide an easy method of self registration for each individual user. All accounts utilizing your custom registration code will automatically display in your account management tools.

    Can we have co-branding when using the Fitness Journal registration system?

    Yes. Once the user enters your registration code, your logo and company name will appear on the registration screen.

    Do you offer a completely custom registration gateway?

    Yes. If you are interested in a completely custom registration gateway to provide seamless integration, we can create this for you for an additional fee. A custom registration system is included at no additional cost when you purchase 1,000 seats or more.

    Do you offer any unlimited seat plans?

    Yes. Beyond our conventional per-seat license, we do offer some broader plans for our larger clients. These plans are based on estimated traffic usage and hardware requirements. Most plans require a 12 month service contract and are billed on a month-by-month basis.

    Can we re-sell your services?

    Yes. Typically companies who wish to resell our services purchase seats through management tools and then re-sell seats as part of their own service package. The most popular method or reselling is to bundle Fitness Journal as a value added service with your existing offering. As an example, a personal trainer or health club may roll the cost of Fitness Journal membership into the initial up front costs of establishing service. Using this method, you either register an account on behalf of your client or provide your client with your registration code that will by-pass our payment server.

    How else do clients utilize management tools?

    A majority of our clients purchase seats not to re-sell, but to use with their health and wellness program at their place of business. Companies purchase seats on behalf of their employees and then run internal company challenges between divisions or offices. These challenges will break up employees into teams that can complete time, distance, or calorie-based competitions all in the name of good fun and health and fitness.
